A 22-year-old college student died after allegedly fighting at a fraternity party where he was "unruly" and uninvited.

The Sigma Chi chapter of the University of New Hampshire was suspended as authorities began their investigation into the death of Vincenzo Lirosi, according to a report.

Lirosi, a native of Massachusetts, was reportedly uninvited to the "welcome home" party of a Sigma Chi brother who was returning from military service Saturday.

Lirosi "gained access to the event without permission, became unruly, and disturbed other attendees," Sigma Chi said. "Mr. Lirosi left the event shortly after his arrival and was last seen walking away from the event under his own power."

The 22-year-old's body was found Sunday in a marshy area, and Lirosi had been involved in a fight before leaving the party, Durham police said.

New Hampshire's chief medical examiner reportedly ruled Lirosi’s death an accident caused by drowning Wednesday, and police do not feel his death was suspicious.

"We are saddened to learn of the death of Vincenzo Lirosi, an uninvited guest who died after leaving an event held by some members of our chapter," Sigma Chi said in a statement late Tuesday. "We extend our sincere condolences to his friends and family. We are fully cooperating with authorities as they investigate the circumstances of his death."
