A television reporter with the Colorado Rockies needed to have her forehead sewn back together after she was struck by a 95 mph line drive on Monday.

Kelsey Wingert was near a first base camera when she was struck by a foul ball hit by San Francisco Giants player Austin Slater during the ninth inning.

She was taken to a local hospital and required hours of treatment.

"Checking in — Monday, I took a 95 MPH line drive to my head," Wingert tweeted on Wednesday, along with a picture of the many stitches holding the center of her forehead together.

She described the injury in more detail in a separate social media post.

"I had a CT scan to make sure there was no internal bleeding or fractures and all came back clear," she wrote in a story posted to Instagram. "Thank God. I received internal and external stitches because of how deep the wound is."

The reporter is no stranger to being hit by stray balls, according to a report.

In 2018, she endured a fractured eye socket after being hit by a line drive while working for the Atlanta Braves.

She recovered from the first injury, and she appears to be in good spirits while recovering from the latest one.

Wingert hopes the scar will not be too severe, as she said she is preparing to get married next month.
