Ina Garten plans to cook up something special, should she ever have the opportunity to host some of Washington's top politicians.

The Food Network's "Barefoot Contessa" star was asked by New York Times restaurant critic Frank Bruni what she would serve political figures.

For Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, Garten would prepare lobster macaroni and cheese. For Senate hopeful Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, an avowed BBQ lover, she would serve pulled pork shoulder with maple beans, cornbread, and a kale salad. Former Vice President Joe Biden would receive "something fun, like a lobster and clambake," Garten said.

And President Trump?

"A subpoena."

Garten made the comments during an event promoting her new cookbook on Thursday, and her comment was met with laughter by attendees, reported Eater.

Garten typically does not discuss politics, despite having been a staffer in Republican and Democratic White Houses. She worked as a budget analyst focused on nuclear policy under former Presidents Gerald Ford and Democrat Jimmy Carter.

"I think the more we cook and entertain, the more we stay connected with our friends no matter what their politics are," Garten said earlier this week in an interview with the Huffington Post. "So, no, I don’t talk about politics. I don’t know if people know what my political beliefs are or not, but I just think it’s kind of like people’s diets: You worry about your diet, and I’ll worry about mine. That’s how I feel about politics."
