Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to Rep. Lauren Boebert's viral family photo featuring her young children holding large firearms next to a Christmas tree.
"Tell me again where Christ said 'use the commemoration of my birth to flex violent weapons for personal political gain'?" the New York Democrat tweeted Wednesday, adding, "lol @ all the years Republicans spent on cultural hysteria of society 'erasing Christmas and it’s meaning' when they’re doing that fine all on their own."

Ocasio-Cortez mocked Boebert further in another tweet.
"When you pose in front of a Christmas Tree and can name all those guns but can’t name the gifts of the Wise Men," she wrote.

The Colorado Republican responded to Ocasio-Cortez's tweet, scolding her for attacking her children.
"AOC uses her position as a Congresswoman to attack my boys with their Christmas presents. Not a good look, Sandy," Boebert wrote.

Boebert posted the picture of her family holding rifles after Rep. Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican, posted a similar picture of his family last week, jokingly asking Santa Claus to "please bring ammo."
"That's my kind of Christmas card!" Boebert said in a retweet of Massie's picture.
