Comedian and actress Amy Schumer was among the people rallying Thursday at the Hart Senate Office Building to protest the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Videos from the scene posted on social media show Schumer, an outspoken critic of Kavanaugh, in a group being detained by Capitol Hill police.

In the video, one of the officers asks her, “Do you want to be arrested?”

Schumer replies, “Yes.”

In a separate video posted by another protester, Schumer looks into the camera and says, “I think we’re going to get arrested.”

Anti-Kavanaugh demonstrations have erupted on and around Capitol Hill on Thursday in the wake of an impending vote by the Senate to confirm Kavanaugh to the court.

Kavanaugh has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct. He denies all allegations against him.

Last week, Schumer tweeted: “We #BelieveSurvivors and refuse to accept Brett Kavanaugh as our next Supreme Court Justice. Join us in making our voices heard.” A representative could not immediately be reached for comment.
