A 2-month-old girl injured from the Kentucky tornadoes died on Monday, two days after her family's home was destroyed.

Douglas and Jackie Koon, a couple in Kentucky, announced on social media their baby girl Oaklynn died. Their daughter suffered multiple seizures in the hospital, with doctors believing she may have had a stroke, according to the New York Post.

“At least I know who will be watching over you up there for me. My dad,” Douglas Koon wrote in the couple's Facebook post.

Oaklynn had spent two days hospitalized after the weekend's tornado tore through her hometown of Dawson Springs late Friday. Her older brother, Dallas, was also hospitalized. He was discharged on Sunday, the outlet reported.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Monday that at least 74 Kentuckians are confirmed dead from the tornado. At least 109 Kentuckians are reported as unaccounted for, but Beshear said he expects that number to be higher, according to a storm update from the governor's website.

President Joe Biden approved a federal declaration of emergency for Kentucky on Saturday. He is expected to travel to the state on Wednesday to offer condolences and survey the damage caused by the tornadoes.
