1. FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD HANGOUT
Amys Pizza (3715 Macomb St. NW), a great place to visit Sunday mornings or weekday evenings to share a pizza and catch up with a friend. It is always lively and the food never disappoints.
2. BEST MODE OF TRANSPORTATION
Bus. Once you have the hang of the bus system, you can practically get anywhere you want in the city and you avoid the Metro.
3. FAVORITE LOCAL SPORTS EVENT
Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.
4. BEST PLACE FOR LIVE MUSIC
930 Club.
5. BEST PLACE FOR OUT-OF-TOWN VISITORS
Washington Improv Theater at the Source on 14th Street always has great shows that are inexpensive. It is great to take friends and family from out of town there and visit Adams Morgan afterward for a bite to eat.
6. FAVORITE MUSEUM
The Museum of the American Indian. They always have great visiting exhibits, exhibits about the now and then of the American Indian and their cafeteria is always great to drop in on for lunch.
7. MOST ROMANTIC SPOT
Strolling around the Georgetown waterfront in the evenings.
8. FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND A LAZY SUNDAY
Walking to Du Pont Circle and visiting the Farmers Market. Also sitting outside with a book at the Du Pont Circle water fountain.

Ben's Chili Bowl.
10. BEST OUT-OF-TOWN RETREAT
Annapolis.
11. BEST INSIDE-THE-BELTWAY RETREAT
Old Town Alexandria.
12. FAVORITE MONUMENT
The Lincoln Memorial around sundown. There is nothing better in the summer than sitting on the steps of the memorial and watching the sun go down on the Washington Monument and the Senate.
13. PROUDEST PART OF LIVING IN THE D.C. REGION
Washingtonians are very committed to community service and getting involved with nonprofits to make a difference.
14. EMBARRASSING PART OF LIVING IN D.C. REGION
I love this city.
15. BEST BREAKFAST SPOT
Le Pain Quotidien. They have something for everyone and you can always hear your friends talk, even when it is crowded. The best part is sitting at the communal table -- it gives you a chance to meet new people or at least have really interesting conversations.
16. BEST COFFEE SHOP
Tryst in Adams Morgan.
