Former talk show host and Baltimore native Montel Williams will be in Annapolis on Monday afternoon pushing for pot. The multiple sclerosis patient, who has been a longtime advocate for the compassionate use of marijuana for chronic illness, is expected to speak in favor of medical marijuana legislation in the Maryland General Assembly. The legislation would make Maryland the 16th state to legalize physician-approved use of medical marijuana. Williams will be joined by Maryland state Sens. Jamie Raskin, D-Silver Spring, and David Brinkley, R-Frederick. Both are cancer survivors.
