EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Shoppers in El Paso will be able to get around the downtown area on two free minibuses in an effort to promote business.
The El Paso Times (bit.ly/PrNcz0) reported Thursday that each bus will hold 16 people and two wheelchairs.
The new service was announced Wednesday by Sun Metro, the El Paso Downtown Management District and the El Paso Central Business Association.
The air-conditioned minibuses begin their shopping district routes Sept. 9.
Management district executive director Veronica Soto says organizers want shoppers to feel comfortable using the shuttles.
