Good news for expense account filers or just detail-obsessed commuters: Metro travel histories are now available online.

The transit agency announced a new Website Monday on which riders with SmarTrip cards can track their travel on the system.

Eventually, they will be able to add money to their cards via the site. But for now it tells riders only about a month-long window of usage at a given time.

Said information can be helpful for those trying to fill out an expense reimbursement form, track commuting costs, reconstruct a week – or even prove an alibi. (Really, I was stuck on the Red Line for an hour!)

It takes a few minutes to register as users have to enter security questions and passwords to protect privacy.
