BELTSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Prince George's County police say thousands of people are expected to gather at memorial events for an officer killed in a crash and traffic delays are possible.
A viewing for 23-year-old Adrian Morris is scheduled at Borgwardt Funeral Home on Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodstream Church on Lottsford Road in Mitchellville. A burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Davidsonville.
Police plan to have rolling street closures around the funeral procession.
Morris was killed Aug. 20 when his police cruiser ran off Interstate 95 while pursuing a vehicle that matched the description of a car involved in a theft.
