JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Development Authority will host a conference Aug. 16 aimed at connecting minority- and women-owned businesses with opportunities.
The event, called Access Mississippi, will be held at the Jackson Convention Complex.
In a news release announcing the event, Gov. Phil Bryant encouraged owners and representatives of the businesses to attend.
The event will include sessions on state procurement guidelines and purchasing requirements, as well as sessions focusing on specific types of contracting opportunities.
