Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Thursday that Virginia has added 70,000 jobs since February.

The jobs are in the public and private sectors and all types of employment: full-time, temporary and part-time.

“The number one priority of our administration is creating good-paying jobs for our citizens in the counties and cities where they live,” McDonnell said. “We will put in place policies that help entrepreneurs and job creators, and then we will get out of their way so they can create, grow and innovate.”

McDonnell is scheduled to leave Saturday for a week-long trade mission to Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands.
