ESSEX, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police say a man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Essex.

Police say 55-year-old Dennis Flurry was lying in the northbound lanes of Old Eastern Avenue when he was struck shortly after 8 p.m. Friday. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police are searching for the vehicle, which is believed to have damage to the lower front bumper and undercarriage.
