A Brooklyn man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for transporting a teenage girl across state lines for prostitution.
Authorities say Marc Brickhouse was a pimp who held the girl against her will for three months and prostituted her for sex in hotels in Virginia, Maryland and New York.
He and a partner were accused of luring the 16-year-old girl from California to the East Coast to work as a prostitute.
In February, the girl ran away from a hotel and called police from a Babies R Us store.
Brickhouse pleaded guilty in May in U.S. District Court in Alexandria. He must also serve five years of supervised release.
