Prince George's County police are investigating the slaying of a man outside a Temple Hills nightclub, the 16th homicide reported in the county this year.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots outside Plaza 23, on the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road, at about 3:30 a.m., said Cpl. Evan Baxter, a police spokesman.

He said they found an unresponsive man with trauma wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests were made and police are still seeking a suspect and motive.

Baxter said about 50 to 100 people were in the area at the time of the incident. He said witnesses who want to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477)

The victim's name was not released.
