A man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 45-year-old woman who was reported missing from Rockville on July 19 and whose body was found in D.C. later that day.

Raymond Williams, 35, of the 11100 block of Dewey Road in Kensington, is accused of killing Azin Naimi, Montgomery County police said.

Naimi was reported missing by a family member at 3:30 a.m. on July 19. Metropolitan Police detectives found her body on the 300 block of Farragut Street NW that afternoon.

Police said Naimi was killed in the building she rented as an art studio on the 12000 block of Nebel Street in Rockville. Williams worked in the same building, but not with Naimi, police said.

The cause of Naimi’s death is still under investigation.

Williams was being held Wednesday without bond.
