HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (AP) — Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is visiting an Obama campaign office in Colorado to tout the president and critique his rivals.
Albright is scheduled to address supporters at the Obama campaign office in Highlands Ranch Wednesday as part of a push by the Democrats to highlight the Republican ticket's position on women's issues.
Democrats have blasted Mitt Romney and his new running mate, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, for their stance on abortion and access to contraception. Republicans argue that their candidates will help women by improving the woeful Obama economic record.
Albright's appearance comes one day after Ryan came to Lakewood and accused Obama of running a negative campaign to cover up how he botched the economic recovery.
Meanwhile, women who support Romney and Ryan plan to call Colorado voters Wednesday evening.
