TAMPA, Fla. -- Right on the heels of Ann Romney's "I love you women!" convention speech, the Tampa party circuit takes on a female-centric tinge. Beam, the company behind Jim Beam and dozens of liquor labels, is co-hosting a "Women to Watch" party Wednesday night, but instead of bourbon tastings, Skinnygirl cocktails are on the menu.

It's a change of pace for Beam, which hosted a Maker's Mark party with GQ at the last Republican National Convention. Beam Vice President of Public Affairs Matt Stanton recalled that event with little enthusiasm.

"Last time we were working to get people there," Stanton told Yeas & Nays. "This year, we're beating them off with a stick."

"There's just so many women now that are entrepreneurs, that are getting into politics," Stanton continued. "And to be honest, we wanted to catch that wave."
