Jeff Lim-Sharpe (Silver Spring) won the 8^th annual Maryland Amateur Public Links Wednesday, firing an afternoon round of 67 to blow past morning leader Robert Balaban (Bethesda). Lim-Sharpe (70-67 – 137) won by a tournament record seven shots over Balaban (69-75 – 144) at Greystone Golf Course.

Lim-Sharpe finished the morning with consecutive birdies, then turned it on in his second nine of the afternoon making three straight birdies.

Defending champion Joseph Kim (74-71 – 145) of Rockville placed third.
