OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will be talking about an initiative to cut health disparities by using incentives such as tax breaks for medical providers who work in underserved areas.

Brown is scheduled to talk about the initiative during a seminar at the Maryland Association of Counties summer conference on Thursday in Ocean City.

Maryland's budget includes $4 million to create a pilot program of two to four Health Enterprise Zones in the state. They will be established through a competitive application process.

A report will be sent to the Legislature, and applications will be accepted and reviewed this fall.
