Pepco should have responded faster to a storm that outed power for hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians this week, Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett said Wednesday.
Leggett tells The Washington Examiner he was “very disappointed” in Pepco’s reaction, particularly in mobilizing crews from other areas.
“We knew that 10 minutes after the storm we had well over 200,000 people impacted,” he said. “I would of thought they would have a full deployment in place by Sunday night.”
Pepco called in hundreds of crew members from as far away as Ohio, but most of them didn’t start working until Tuesday.
