LONDON (AP) — Weightlifter Tatiana Kashirina of Russia broke the world record twice in the snatch portion of the women's super heavyweight competition.

Kashirina lifted 149 kilograms in her second attempt, bettering her own top mark from last year by 1 kilo. She then hoisted 151 kilos in the third attempt, shouting loudly as she pushed up from a squat.

Kashirina leads the competition going into the clean and jerk. World champion Zhou Lulu of China is second with 146 kilo.
