House Speaker John Boehner has raised more than $28 million so far in 2015.

The Ohio Republican, in office since 1991 and speaker since 2011, also transferred $5 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee from his own bank, according to his team. In addition, he has doled out $750,000 in direct campaign contributions to GOP candidates since the beginning of the year. Boehner has also held more than 100 events for both members of Congress and Capitol Hill hopefuls.

"House Republicans are getting things done, and Speaker Boehner is taking that message directly to families and workers across the country as he works to ensure that Republicans have the resources to win in 2016," Boehner spokeswoman Kara Hauck told POLITICO.

At this rate, he will collected $100 million over the course of the 2016 election cycle.

In the coming week, second-quarter fundraising numbers for all lawmakers and candidates will be released.
