ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann is pulling in big money for her re-election in Minnesota's conservative 6th District — but she's also spending at a fast clip. So is her Democratic rival, Jim Graves, but at a smaller scale.

Campaign finance reports posted Thursday showed that Bachmann raised $1 million in the first 25 days of July. During that same period, she spent almost $770,000, including a $66,000 transfer to her indebted presidential campaign. Bachmann has $2 million to spend on her congressional race.

Her presidential campaign was $935,000 in debt at the start of July.

Graves had $350,000 in the bank after raising $64,000 in July. The hotel chain owner spent almost twice as much as he brought in during the 3-1/2 week period.
