We all know how "fun" decifering county zoning code can be (see Hughes, Brian) but here's a little nugget that is actually laugh-out-loud funny.

Apparently, Montgomery County's current zoning code has two whole codes for mobile home parks (don't hit that "back" button on your browser just yet). This, of course, makes plenty of sense as the county is also known as the Double Wide Capital of America.

Yes. That was sarcasm.

Turns out the county only has one mobile home park (Middlebrook Mobile Home Park in Germantown) and it has three types of zoning ... none of which actually allow mobile homes, according to a county document that outlines the county's zoning future.

Now all those those insults city officials are slinging at the current zoning code, which has more categories than any jurisdiction in America, are starting to make sense.
