One day after the Virginia Senate passed a bill that would require local school boards to offer daily physical education classes for grades K-8, it looks like the Virginia House could be on board as well.

The House Education Committee HAS cleared legislation from Del. John O’Bannon, R-Richmond, that's intended to stem childhood obesity and encourage healthy habits in kids. The bill would require that schools provide 150 minutes of physical education classes per week available to K-8 students, with the goal of implementing a similar program for high schoolers as well.
