Mayor Vince Gray has moved into his new office, jumping up a floor in the John A. Wilson Building from the office where he was stationed as D.C. Council chairman.
The office he has moved into on the sixth floor was barely used by former Mayor Adrian Fenty. Doxie McCoy, a Gray spokeswoman, said they found dead plants when they moved into the space.
Fenty, instead, set up his desk in the midst of a bullpen style office full of his staff, an open space format constructed on the theory that fewer walls allowed for better and faster communication. Fenty copied the idea from New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Gray said he's considering dismantling the bullpen, but he wants to see how much it would cost before he does so.
