Montgomery County’s largest public employees union took to the streets this week to showcase a “scavenger” attempt to steal their members.

As The Washington Examiner reported, two Northeastern unions are trying to take control of Montgomery’s Municipal and County Government Employees Organization. They have blanketed the e-mail boxes of county workers, telling them to leave their current union.

Naturally, MCGEO turned to a giant, inflatable rat to make their point.

According to the AFL-CIO, MCGEO members parked the vermin outside a Gaithersburg hotel this week, where the United Public Service Employees Union and National Correctional Employees Union were meeting. The two unions want a vote this fall on a leadership change.

No word yet on the rat’s next appearance.
