Funeral arrangements have been made for the 23-year-old Prince George's County police officer killed in a crash this week, police said.
The viewing for Officer Adrian Morris will be Monday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Borgwardt's Funeral Home, located at 4400 Powder Mill Road in Beltsville.
His funeral will take place the next day at Woodstream Church located at 9800 Lottsford Road in Mitchellville. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and services will start immediately after that. His internment, at Lakemount Memorial Park Cemetery in Davidsonville, will follow his funeral.
Morris died after the cruiser he was driving veered off Interstate 95 while he and another officer were following a silver Acura that was the suspect vehicle in a purse-snatching from a vehicle incident. The other officer, Michael Risher, was treated for injuries and has been released from the hospital.
The Maryland State Flag will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday, according to the Maryland Secretary of State's Office. Additionally, there will be a moment of silence at FedEx Field on Saturday before the Washington Redskins' exhibition game at 4 p.m.
