When the LPGA makes its return to Williamsburg, Va. for the Kingsmill Championship next week, it will welcome an elite field led by Americans Stacy Lewis, Natalie Gulbis, Paula Creamer, Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, and Cristie Kerr, a two-time winner at the famed River Course.

Other recognizable names in the field are Morgan Pressel, Juli Inkster, Christina Kim, Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, and world top 10 players Ai Miyazato of Japan, Mika Miyazato of Japan, and Azahara Munoz of Spain. In addition, Chantilly High graduate Jenny Suh will play.

“We cannot wait to tee it up next week,” tournament director Wayne Nooe said. “The support from the community has been outstanding, the course is in great shape, and we are certain that fans will have a memorable experience.”

Formerly sponsored by Michelob, the tournament ran from 2003-09. In addition to Kerr, who won in 2005 and 2009, it produced an illustrious group of champions including Annika Sorenstam (2008), Suzann Pettersen (2007), Karie Webb (2006), and Se Ri Pak, (2004), and Grace Park (2003).
