RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Gov. Bob McDonnell's K-12 Education Reform Summit is under way in Richmond.
The event opened Wednesday evening and continues Thursday with speeches and panel discussions. Former U.S. Education Secretary Margaret Spellings delivers the keynote address at a breakfast session. The summit wraps up with an evening governor's panel featuring McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder, and former West Virginia Gov. Bob Wise.
The summit will address teacher quality, educational choice, innovation and technology, and workforce development.
