Ross Matthews had the kind of glam job that people dream about - hanging out with Jay Leno, getting to see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in the flesh. But the E! News correspondent, who is covering both political conventions for the entertainment network, has a wonkier side as well. "I'm obsessed with politics," he told Yeas & Nays while covering the red carpet at Meghan McCain's Lifetime and Got Your Six party Wednesday night. "I'm a political junkie, I treat it like the Oscars meets Homecoming Court, but all out in the public for everyone to see the voting."

Matthews says he reads everything from the Huffington Post to Politico to conservative blogs too. "Just to see how everyone is spinning everything," he said. But his very favorite is a website called electoral-vote.com. "I don't even know who this guy is, he calls himself the [Votemaster], but he's dead on about everything," Matthews said.

So far at the Republican National Convention he's chased down Chelsea Clinton to no avail. "I waited until the very end, I stalked her like a creepy person and she must have been very busy, she's obviously super important because she ran right past, I still like her, but that's the story of my life with women," he said. He's met Luke Russert. "[He's] super nice, he was a fan of mine," Matthews said. And he's befriended McCain. "We're going to have lunch tomorrow together," he said. "I think, honestly, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship - who knows, maybe it will blossom into a loving relationship."
