Washington area drivers now have their chance to give their two cents about toll hikes on the Dulles Toll Road.

Officials are considering raising rates to for a one-way trip to $2.75 in 2013, $3.50 in 2014 and $4.50 in 2015.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which runs the toll road, is accepting comments from the public through Sept. 16. Drivers can go to www.mwaa.com/tollroad to fill out a comment form, or they can send written comments to Dulles Toll Road Proposed Toll Rate Increases, 3900 Jermantown Road, Suite 300, Fairfax, VA 22030.

The airports board will make a final decision on the toll rates this fall. Toll hikes would start in January to help pay for the new $6 billion Metrorail line to Dulles International Airport.

Local residents can also attend three open houses on the issue. Open houses are between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Locations and dates are listed below.
