George P. Bush, the son of Jeb Bush who holds statewide elective office in Texas, endorsed Donald Trump's bid for the presidency over the weekend.
"I know a lot of us in this room had a dog in the fight in the primary ... but you know what? It's time to put it aside," Bush said at a meeting for members of the state's Republican executive committee.

"From Team Bush, it's a bitter pill to swallow, but you know what? You get back up and you help the man that won, and you make sure that we stop Hillary Clinton," Bush added to raucous applause.
Bush was elected to a four-year term as Texas land commissioner in 2014, and is also serving as the Texas GOP's victory chairman. His uncle, President George W. Bush and grandfather, George H.W. Bush, have both refused to endorse Trump, as has his father, the former governor of Florida.
