Why it's dim: When asked whether he blamed the Republican Party's rhetoric, he said, "I don't want to point those fingers other than to say that we understand how vulnerable everyone is in this culture, and those of us in public life even more vulnerable." Everyone is vulnerable to violence, but no one told the shooter to commit the crime.
