Prince George's County police are searching for a man who dressed as a woman while robbing a Bowie bank last week.

On Aug. 7 at about 9 a.m., the man -- sporting a wig, a long necklace and a colorful dress -- walked into the Capitol One Bank on the 6100 block of High Bridge Road in Bowie and passed the teller a note demanding money, said Cpl. Larry Johnson.

Johnson said he couldn't say how much the man made off with, but the money was later recovered. Police, however, are still searching for the robber.

The suspect is black and of medium build and was wearing a colorful, printed dress, a long black wig, sunglasses and a multicolored necklace at the time of the robbery.
