DYRS: D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty fired the head of the city’s troubled Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services. Robert Hildum, the assistant attorney general for public safety, is taking over. Two staff members resigned.

GANGS: Authorities announced the arrest of 30 alleged gang members in Northern Virginia.

INDICTMENT: Former Georgetown quarterback J.J. Mont has been indicted and accused of providing a federal grand jury with fraudulent financial documents. Mont is the treasurer of a Prince George’s County church whose pastor is under federal investigation for potentially breaking bankruptcy laws and other violations.

GUILTY PLEAS: The former pastor of a Fairfax church pleaded guilty to molesting two boys and a Montgomery County gang member pleaded guilty to murder.
