CNN reports this morning that Mitt Romney is playing the “Costco card” after Ann Romney explained in a recent interview with Fox News that she bought a multi-pack of Kirkland shirts for her husband.

The morning news host was not impressed.

“You have to wonder is it because of that old saying is really true? Americans like a guy in a White House they could chug a beer with?” she asked. “That’s not how they seem to feel about Mitt Romney, at least not yet.”

Unmentioned by the CNN host, was the fact that Mitt Romney is Mormon and doesn’t drink alcohol.
