Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West pleaded guilty to Maryland weapons charges Thursday, but will not serve time behind bars.
West pleaded guilty in Prince George's County Circuit Court to carrying a concealed dangerous weapon and carrying and transporting a loaded handgun.
Judge Graydon McKee sentenced him to eight months of electronic monitoring, two years of unsupervised probation, 40 hours of community service and psychological counseling.
Authorities say West was carrying three loaded guns and a knife when driving his motorcycle on the Capital Beltway last September. He was pulled over after speeding and cutting off an officer, police say.
West lives in Brandywine.
