A red Nissan Altima attempted to crash the barricade outside the U.S. Capitol building by driving full speed into the barrier Friday morning.
The driver is in custody. The car, which had Florida license plates, is now being searched by the Capitol police. The incident took place at the south barricade.
There are no links to terrorism, Fox News reports.
In April, a Florida mailman was arrested after he landed a gyrocopter on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
