ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — HopeTree Family Services is the new owner of Camp Virginia Jaycee.

The camp is located in Bedford County and provides opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities. HopeTree Family Services is taking over the camp from Dare to Care Charities.

The Roanoke Times reports (http://bit.ly/QPXSX6 ) that the property was donated. HopeTree has a variety of ministries for at-risk children and their families.

Officials with the group told the newspaper that they envision new opportunities for the property, including those for its developmental disabilities ministry.
