The body found at a state park near Frederick is that of a Texas man who went missing while visiting relatives in Prince William County in December, the Frederick News-Post reported.
Maryland Natural Resources Police told the newspaper that the body of 55-year-old Robert Allen White was discovered in the Potomac River near Point of Rocks on Friday afternoon.
White had been missing from Virginia since Dec. 26.
His body was found near the area where his cell phone, clothing and passport were discovered Dec. 29. That discovery prompted an extensive search of the park over the past week.
No foul play is suspected and White appears to have committed suicide, the News-Post reported.
