Now Vice President Joe Biden is piling on to Donald Trump with a slap that the Republican nominee is historically dumb.

"There's no reason to mince words here. No major party nominee in the history of this nation has ever known less or been less prepared to deal with our national security than Donald Trump," said Biden.

Still, Biden warns in a fundraising memo, Trump could still beat Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"If we lose this election, our country will become less safe after Barack and I leave office in January. That's the honest truth, and it's frightening," said Biden.

Biden is no stranger to gaffes and misstatements himself. Time Magazine has even posted some of his top hits.

His full memo:

There's no reason to mince words here: No major party nominee in the history of this nation has ever known less or been less prepared to deal with our national security than Donald Trump.

If we lose this election, our country will become less safe after Barack and I leave office in January. That's the honest truth, and it's frightening.

So when I tell you that Team Hillary needs to raise $1,000,000 today, I mean it. We need to raise that much before midnight tonight to make sure the nightmare of a Trump presidency doesn't become a reality.

I don't want to see all of the hard work and progress we've made over the last eight years undone. But more than that, I don't want a man elected president who rejects so much of what makes our country great — a belief that ordinary Americans can do extraordinary things, and a belief that anyone can make it in America, no matter who they are, where they come from, or who they love.

So we need to hit our goal today, and every day until November 8th.

You can help us get there, but you need to step up right now. Will you chip in right now to get your free Team Hillary sticker?

Thank you — it means a lot.

Joe
