OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — The bicyclist killed in an Ocean City bus collision was a popular Baltimore bar and restaurant owner remembered for helping revitalize a popular city neighborhood.
Forty-nine-year-old Patrick "Scunny" McCusker died Friday evening. McCusker owned the popular Mexican restaurant Nacho Mama's in Baltimore Canton neighborhood.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski tweeted Sunday that McCusker was the spark of the revitalized community. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said in a statement that the n neighborhood known for its restaurants and bars wouldn't be what it is today without small-business pioneers like McCusker. McCusker was also well known in Ocean City, where he worked in the summer as a teen and young adult.
Ocean City Police say the accident at Coastal Highway and 132nd St. is under investigation.
