The stars are coming out Saturday for the BET Honors awards ceremony, with actors Gabrielle Union, Jamie Foxx, Cicely Tyson and model Iman expected to grace the nation’s capital.

But with the glitterati and television cameras coming to the historic Warner Theatre on Pennsylvania Avenue near 13th Street downtown, so comes the traffic, parking hassles and sidewalk closures. When the limos hit the town, after all, the organizers have to keep the hoi polloi at bay.

The event isn’t until Saturday, yet some of the parking restrictions and closures start as early as Wednesday, according to the District Department of Transportation. And, apparently, they are expecting quite a party in this usually early-to-bed city as some closures last until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Parking restrictions:

  • East and west curb lanes of 12th Street NW between E Street and F Street, from midnight Wednesday until 6 a.m. Sunday.
  • East curb lane of 13th Street, NW between E and F Street, from midnight Thursday until 6 a.m. Sunday.
  • North curb lane of E Street NW between 12th Street and 13th Street, from midnight Thursday until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Street and sidewalk closures:

  • E Street NW and sidewalks between 12th Street and 13th Street, from midnight Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.
  • 13th Street NW and sidewalks between Pennsylvania Avenue and F Street, from 6 a.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday 
  • North curb lane of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 12th and 13th Streets, from 6 a.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday
  • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 12th Street and 14th Street, from noon on Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday
  • North and south curb lanes of Pennsylvania Avenue/E Street, NW between 13th Street and 14th Street, from noon on Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday
  • South curb lane of F Street, NW between 12th Street and 13th Street, from noon on Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday.
  • 12th Street, NW between Constitution Avenue and E Street, from noon on Saturday until 2 a.m. on Sunday.
