BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore Public Works spokesman says a busy downtown street closed by a water main break has reopened.
Public Works spokesman Kurt Kocher says Light Street reopened Sunday afternoon. Replacement of water mains at the site near the Inner Harbor disrupted traffic for weeks. The 20-inch main broke July 16. Public works officials decided after the break to replace several lines at the same time along with valves and hydrants.
Officials said the infrastructure was more than 100 years old.
