On Monday’s edition of CNN's Parker/Spitzer, Saturday Night Live’s Fred Armisen talked about his approach to impersonating people especially, the commander in chief President Obama. “He’s a person. Whenever I [impersonate] someone I just think of them as a person,” says Armisen.

But Elliot Spitzer didn't seem to buy that and asked Armisen whether or not the sketches and impersonations have any underlying political motivation -- are they supposed to upset people when they are poking fun? Armisen assures him, “It’s all done with love and admiration” and explains that if he were negative in his impersonations, the audience would sense it and then shut down. He may have something there.  Maybe all campaign ads should involve people impersonating politicians.
