Arlington County road crews should begin clearing neighborhood streets later Thursday morning, officials said.

County officials announced that all Arlington’s main roads have been cleared, and crews will soon shift their focus to digging out neighborhoods. Abandoned cars and fallen trees didn’t help make the road crews’ job any easier, and officials are asking residents to remove their cars from neighborhood streets to clear the way for snow plows.

Arlington’s Emergency Communications Center processed about 2,411 calls during a 12-hour period in the snowstorm, officials said, most of them directly storm related.
