Arlington school officials are holding an information session to prepare kids for the first day of the rest of their lives, specifically known as "kindergarten."

Parents with children entering Arlington elementary schools this fall are invited to the Kindergarten Infomation Night on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at Washington-Lee High School. After the session, reps from all of Arlington's 22 elementary schools will be on hand to answer questions.

To be eligible for kindergarten, tikes must turn five before Sept. 30, 2011.
